One element to rule them all....
The fifth element, or sometimes called the first element.
This is where the other elements draw their power and life, this is where we all draw our power and life.

One element to rule them all.... One element to find them... One element to bring them all... And in the darkness bind them...

Cute. I knew there had to be a few Tolkien fans here.
*sigh*
I was hoping I could get away with it. Guess not! ;D

Some more notes on Akasha, seeing as I've worked a lot more with it lately.
Akasha is that which pervades all. Usually described as aether or that "random energy that I can't name."
Note that there are *two* types of akashic energy. The first is what most all witches work with, either knowingly or unknowingly, sometimes envisioned as either a purple or white light (though you have to be careful, because white light has its own character).
The second is the life energy that sustains us. Obviously we don't really manipulate this because it is basic essence.
An akashic exercise: Sit in meditation in a natural area and surround yourself preferably by all four elements. This is not just elemental magic, but akashic magic. Feel the pulse of each element in turn. Now, see if you can sense the deeper essence of each. What *is* water? What *is* fire? Obviously this is hard to latch on to, but it is an interesting notion when you do.
A simpler meditation is to globe yourself in purple and attune yourself to the energy of the ambient. Try to attune yourself to the energy that feeds you, and sustains you. This is akasha.
