I had a very touching dream when I was about 6 or 7 (I think anyway). I might have been younger.
I had a dream about getting lost in this beautiful abstract watercolor that depicted a landscape of reds, yellows, brown, blues, and purples. I was lost, where ever it was, with someone. I don’t know who that other person is still to this day. I always assumed that it was my little sister. I remember how the colors would fade and swirl into on another in a slow carefree rhythm. Even though we were lost, my companion and I, we were not worried or afraid.
I could see what looked like mountains and rivers, and a setting sun lighting a beautiful sky. Up head was this log cabin. When we got to the log cabin a huge red dragon of different hues melted into a solid creature right out from the sky.
Whatever the dragon said was important, became we went on our way and we weren’t lost anymore.
I remember waking up right after the dream was over, telling myself that I couldn’t forget what the dragon said. I’m still left with the impression that the event was life changing. I was also left with the impression that the dragon would come back. (But I can't remember what was said )
All of this happened before I could really read and write or keep a journal so much of what happened before and after the dream has been lost. I remember the dream because I feel that it’s important to remember. And, I’ve had a fascination with dragons since than.
I’ve one more thing to add…three times I’ve seen the shape of a dragon head in the clouds, right after a major event in my life. I’ve even got a picture from the first time the dragon showed up .
The first two showed up after I had a major breakup with a boyfriend, both relationships were abusive in different ways. Both times the dragons looked fierce, but encouraging all at the sametime…here is a picture (on my website)
The third time was on the drive back from my honeymoon…the dragon looked happy, and more like the red dragon that I dream all those years ago…
I’ve been itching to tell someone about this, I would sure love to learn more about this dream and the meaning, and figure out why I would have such a connection to a red dragon!!!!
