People....I have to tell you this now...I'm a HUGE Star Trek fan.
I love the original series. And I love the six movies created from the original series cast.
Love them, love them, love them.
So, as a devoted fan, I feel it necessary to tell many people about the most wonderful thing happening.
They are putting the series out on boxed set, DVD.
That's right folks. Season one will be out August 31. All the shows from that season, uncut (sci-fi butchers the show, I tell ya!).
OMG, I'm freaking out. But I'm poor too. But the happy thing is my parents are just as devoted as I am, and they are thinking of splitting the cost with me.
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Live Long and Prosper!

If you are this excited, I can only imagine my friend Barb, lol, she's possibly a bigger fan than you or equal. On our last day of high school she dressed up as Data, she also dressed up as Data when we went to Rocky Horror and once for Coconut Joes. She participates in a RPG somewhere and writes short stories, lol. I've watched many of the DVD sets and movies with her, it is a good series.

Oh, my. I think I may cower in fear to the Trekkies... Nope, sorry! Trekkers. I do enjoy the corny set design on the original series, schnikes, the original series corniness (is that even a word?) in general. But, I say, "Good Day!" to all the spin-offs.
Long live Khan!

Khan is a bastard! He was the reason Spock had to die and be reborn...Gah!

But Spock dying is a subplot of the rest of the film series. It's slightly important. There wouldn't have been a 'Search for Spock' (aka 'the 3rd movie) & all that jazz about them going back in time & rescuing a whale to repopulate the world because apparently in the future they all go extinct. Whew, I'm getting long winded. Okay, maybe Spock dying in the 'Wrath of Khan' wasn't that important in the long run, but we wouldn't have gotten Shatner yelling, "Khan!!!! Khan!!!!" That was bleeping hilarious. ;D

Aw, c'mon Katie. Don't make it seem like I may actually be right about something in Star Tred. It just isn't imperically possible. Invact, it's donw right wrong. Don't ever let me type this late at night ever again. I'm not even correcting my typos. lol

But you were kind of right. The next two movies after The Wrath of Khan had direct ties to it. The third, because the went to check him out and bring him back to Vulcan, and the fourth because they were returning from Vulcan to Earth to face trial.
eh....I'll be fine.
*grabs kleenex*
